Terms

For design projects:

• A non-refundable deposit of half of the amount quoted is due, before any work can be carried out, and the remainder of the balance will become due when the artwork has been approved / signed off.
• Once you have confirmed you are happy / satisfied with the work, your final payment will become due. I will send your final invoice at this point. Only then will your hi-resolution / final artwork files be released to you for use, or in the case of online work, this is when the designs can be published.
• To ensure that studio time and costs don't mount up unexpectedly - up to 3 sets of amends are included in any quoted estimate.
• Please ensure that all copy and imagery sent across for inclusion, is thoroughly checked / proof read, before you send it to me as I can’t be held responsible for using incorrect content.
• Please also ensure that you check all concepts / designs thoroughly - at every stage of the process. Please check for layout, copy, imagery and colour - and satisfy yourself that you are totally happy to proceed to the next step, before letting me know that a design is approved.
• Any additional work incurred (by more than the quoted 3 sets of amends) will be billed hourly, at a standard rate of £37 per hour, and will be added to the total - once the job is complete - and before the finished files can be released.
• Charlotta Darling will do her very best to ensure that all content is correctly used, but the client will be responsible for any design or printing costs incurred by incorrect content - that is either sent to Charlotte as incorrect, or that is not noticed during checks.
• All concepts / works carried out will remain the Intellectual Property of Charlotte Gale, regardless of any license for use issued.
• It is the client's responsibility to ensure that all digital designs or proofs are correct in all areas: Please be sure to double-check spelling, grammar, layout and design - before approving artwork.
• It is important to remember that colours will never be the same on a digital (on screen) file vs. a printed file. You should run your own test proofs for colour, before proceeding to mass production to satisfy yourself that the colours will print as expected.
• If a proof containing errors is approved by the client, the client is responsible for payment of all original costs of printing, for reprints, plus design time (if applicable) for corrections.
• By paying the your deposit, you confirm that you agree to the above terms and the charges set out on your invoice.
• Your payment within 7 days is appreciated.

Thank you for your understanding, co-operation, and for your valued custom.
